Student Philanthropy Council (SPC)

Mission Statement
Spelman College's Student Philanthropy Council works in conjunction with the Office of Annual Giving and aims to educate and foster awareness and appreciation of philanthropy among Spelman women through donor interaction, student engagement, and outreach.

About
The SPC seeks to raise funds to support Spelman students. Each year, funds raised go toward the President's Safety Net Fund to aid a student with a financial gap between her and graduation. Last year we raised $8,918 with the help of 81% of the class of 2016.

How To Join
An SPC membership will give you a window into the fundraising strategies that help sustain Spelman from year to year. To join, send an email to SPCgiving@gmail.com or contact SPC staff advisor, lois.hairston@spelman.edu.
*Dues & class gift required.
